Diamond Head Crater

Ever thought about reading a book on top of a volcano? How about a quiet extinct one? Diamond Head State Monument offers fantastic vistas and shady places to enjoy inside the vulcanic crater. And then there’s the hike up to the crater rim with spectacular views on Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean.

Our book recommendation is Jan Łukasiewicz’ work on the Principle of Contradiction. Are all contradictions false, a sign of some grave error in reasoning? Or are there contradictions that are true – and also false at the same time? Łukasiewicz is one of the first modern philosophers to look for new solutions to the problem of the logical and metaphysical significance of contradictory statements.
